Step 1: Get Your Google Conversion Code
Make sure you have a Google Ads account
Your Google Ads Conversion ID and Conversion Label
- Log in to your Google Ads account.
- Navigate to Tools & Settings > Measurement > Conversions.
- Click + New Conversion Action and select Website.
- Fill in the required conversion details such as name, value, and category.
- Choose “Install the tag yourself” as your setup method.
- Copy the Conversion ID and Conversion Label provided by Google Ads.
Step 2: Add the Code in HitMe
- Log in to your HitMe dashboard.
- Go to Website > Analytics / SEO > Integrations.
- Locate the field labeled Google Conversion.
- Paste your Google Ads Conversion Code into this field.
- Save the changes.
The HitMe panel will automatically place the code in the correct location on your website. You do not need to edit any site files manually
Step 3: Verifying the Code
- Use the Google Tag Assistant browser extension to check that the tag is firing correctly on your site.
- Perform a test conversion, such as submitting a form or completing a purchase. (optional)
